Darsen Hover received her BA in Political Science from CUNY Hunter College in 2018. Her research has been focused on the role of resources in civil conflict, Human Rights law, and indigenous land rights issues. She wrote her Undergraduate Thesis on indigenous social movements in India, and after graduation spent three months as a research intern at an eco-development NGO in Tamil Nadu, India looking specifically at the implementation of the Forest Rights Act in the Nilgiri Mountains. She was awarded a Fulbright Student Research Scholarship in 2019, and is spending this academic year at CEU's Center for Policy Studies researching issues relating to land ownership and rural economic development policy in Hungary.
