Before joining the center, Stefan was an Early Stage Researcher in the Innovative Training Network RegPol2 on “Socio-Economic and Political Responses to Regional Polarization in Central and Eastern Europe”. He holds a PhD in Spatial Planning and an M.A. in Global Studies. His research focuses on the impact of European integration on state territoriality and politics. His dissertation attempted to answer the question how cross-border euroregions contribute to the “added value” of EU Cohesion Policy.
