This conference is organized within the framework of the project 'Tolerance, Pluralism and Social Cohesion: Responding to the Challenges of the 21st Century in Europe' - ACCEPT PLURALISM - funded by the European Commission under the Seventh Framework Programme, DG Research, Social Sciences and Humanities.

The aim of the conference is to discuss main findings of ACCEPT Pluralism research project with policy and decision makers at EU level, as well as reflect on ways of combating intolerance and promoting practices of tolerance and/ or acceptance of cultural diversity. Also, an approach towards Tolerance Indicators will be presented which may help to assess how each country deals with cultural, ethnic and religious diversity challenges.
