Institutional transformation: After 20 years of existence the CEU Center for Policy Studies has merged into CEU's flagship research endeavor, the newly established Democracy Institute. The internal institutional transformations are still ongoing and we will conclude our ongoing research initiatives under the brand and identity of CEU CPS. Research at CPS draws on both quantitative and qualitative methods.   Usually carried out in teams, the objective is to use a range of social science disciplines to investigate contemporary public problems.    Secondly, participatory methods help analyze findings presented in different fora to inform and stimulate debate.
