The Consequences of Freezing Social Aid in Rural Hungary: A Qualitative Inquiry

The workshop will share the experiences of a research project that aimed to explore the consequences of legislative changes in Hungarian social aid regulation since January 2012. The legislative change had significant impact on the life of rural Roma and non-Roma in disadvantaged regions of the country.
The exploratory research was run by the Pro-Cserehát Association in 2012-2013.
