Participation in CONFRONT Research Project

October 24, 2013

The Center for Policy Studies (CPS) participates in CONFRONT Research Project (Countering new forms of Roma children trafficking: Participatory approach) which aims to strengthen counter-trafficking efforts targeting Roma children as vulnerable group.

CONFRONT will focus on three new forms of trafficking affecting children in Roma communities: child begging, labour exploitation for pick-pocketing and sexual exploitation of boys. The project activities will be implemented in 24 months and will take place in seven EU Member States, four of them typical countries of origin for victims of trafficking (Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia) and three of them traditionally destination points for Roma victims (Austria, Italy, Greece).
