Depopulation of Rural Areas in Central and Eastern Europe: Causes and Consequences
A two day workshop will be organized at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing (Oxford, UK) on 22nd and 23rd September 2014.
This workshop will provide an opportunity to share research, policy and practice on this important topic and will also function as an ideal platform for discussing the emerging issues with colleagues and developing future research collaborations.
The programme will include plenary lectures, paper presentations and discussion, and poster sessions.

- Professor Russell King (University of Sussex, United Kingdom)
- Dr. Agnes Nemenyi (University Babes-Bolyai, Romania)
- Dr. Zsuzsa Szeman (Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Hungary)
If you are interested in the workshop, please submit an abstract for a paper or poster presentation or simply participate in the workshop. The deadline for all abstracts and posters is 30 June 2014.
A limited number of bursaries are available to help with participation costs. If you would like to be considered for a bursary, please send a letter explaining why you require bursary support together with your CV and registration form.
The registration fee of £320 includes: 3 nights' accommodation (21st, 22nd and 23rd of September), 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 1 dinner and refreshments as well as all materials. Non-residential cost of participation is £30 per day, and another £50 for the Workshop dinner on Monday. The registration fee is payable by 10 July.
