Committee Governance in an Enlarged European Union

The workshop was jointly organised and sponsored by the Center for Policy Studies and the Center for EU Enlargement Studies at CEU, and the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES).

The workshop 'Committee governance in an enlarged European Union' brought together 26 researchers and senior policy-makers from across Europe for a one-day workshop. The adjustment of the EU's expert committees to an increased membership after enlargement and the preparation of the work within the administrations of the new member states was at the center of the discussion. The workshop generated a dialogue between academics and practioners on alternative working methods and first experiences from the period after the 2004 enlargement. The workshop was jointly organised and sponsored by the Center for Policy Studies and the Center for EU Enlargement Studies at CEU, and the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES).
