Caught in the net: Unweaving the web of human trafficking and the internet

October 10, 2013

CPS research fellow Kiril Sharapov published an article in Holyrood Connect magazine in Scotland.

Kiril Sharapov, Marie Curie Fellow based at the CPS, is currently involved in a plot research project investigating how much is known about the use of the Internet to facilitate trafficking in human beings. The project is funded by Scottish Crucible and supported by the Scottish Funding Council and the Royal Society of Edinburgh. The second project workshop, in the series of three, took place in Dundee in September this year. The workshop attracted a diverse audience of scholars and practitioners, including representatives of Police Scotland. An article reviewing the event was published in Autumn 2013 edition of Holyrood Connect, a quarterly supplement to Holyrood - Scotland’s fortnightly political and current affairs magazine.
