International Migration, Integration and Social Justice in Europe: Sharing Perspectives Between Academia and Civil Society
The organizers of the INTEGRIM-Scribani Conference - to be held on July 6-8, 2016 at the University of Deusto, Bilbao - published a call for posters and short documentaries exploring various aspects of migration, integration and social justice.
Over the last few decades, questions concerning the governance of immigration and integration have become ever more pressing across European countries and European Union institutions. The development of restrictive immigration policies, constraining people's access to European territory and proceeding to a selective distribution of rights according to migratory status, has profound impact on the lives of migrants trying to settle in European societies.
The organizers invite NGOs, local associations, institutions, international organizations, scholars, activists, filmmakers and visual artists to submit a short documentary film and/or a poster proposal exploring various aspects of migration, integration and social justice. (Please see attachments for further information on deadlines and specific requirements).
