CPS Research Fellow Vera Messing and CPS Research Associate Agnes Kende, within the framework of the SALEACOM project, participated in a 2-day conference “Race, Inequality, and Language in Education (RILE)” on October 6-7, 2017 organized by the Stanford Graduate School of Education. The conference brought together leading scholars from across the nation.

Daniela Craciun and Leyla Safta-Zecheria (doctoral students at CEU's PolSci-IRES-PP doctoral school) held a presentation on October 5th during the CPS Seminar sharing their experiences about their 2-month secondments in Brazil at the Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCAR), Center for Research and Social and Educational Action (NIASE). They talked about learning communities and their application in the Latin- American context, and about national and institutional policies of affirmative action for indigenous populations in Brazil.

New project: Transforming into Open, Innovative and Collaborative Governments (TROPICO)

CEU CPS is one of the partners of the new project TROPICO, launched in June 2017, which aims to comparatively examine how public administrations are transformed to enhance collaboration in policy design and service delivery, advancing the participation of public, private and societal actors. Center for Policy Studies research fellows Agnes Batory and Sara Svensson will be involved in the project.
