Kullmann presents at European Parliament Socialists and Democracts Hearing

Adam Kullmann, Senior Project Manager of the Roma Civil Monitor project at CPS, is presenting at the hearing titled "Do we tackle anti-Gypsyism effectively in the National Roma Strategies and in the EU Framework?", organized by the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats in the European Parliament in Brussels on October 18, 2017.

CPS Researchers Participated in Stanford Conference "Race, Inequality, and Language in Education"

CPS Research Fellow Vera Messing and CPS Research Associate Agnes Kende, within the framework of the SALEACOM project, participated in a 2-day conference “Race, Inequality, and Language in Education (RILE)” on October 6-7, 2017 organized by the Stanford Graduate School of Education. The conference brought together leading scholars from across the nation.

Experiences from a Knowledge Exchange in Brazil

Daniela Craciun and Leyla Safta-Zecheria (doctoral students at CEU's PolSci-IRES-PP doctoral school) held a presentation on October 5th during the CPS Seminar sharing their experiences about their 2-month secondments in Brazil at the Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCAR), Center for Research and Social and Educational Action (NIASE). They talked about learning communities and their application in the Latin- American context, and about national and institutional policies of affirmative action for indigenous populations in Brazil.

Workshop brief: Cross-border regions & inter-regional policy transfer in the past, present & future

A short report has been published on the Second Workshop of the RSA Research Network on Regional Economic and Policy History, organized by CEU CPS in Budapest between 29-30 June 2017.

New project: Transforming into Open, Innovative and Collaborative Governments (TROPICO)

CEU CPS is one of the partners of the new project TROPICO, launched in June 2017, which aims to comparatively examine how public administrations are transformed to enhance collaboration in policy design and service delivery, advancing the participation of public, private and societal actors. Center for Policy Studies research fellows Agnes Batory and Sara Svensson will be involved in the project.
