Georgeta Munteanu
Gina joined the Center for Policy Studies in April 2017 as the project manager of the Roma Civil Monitor pilot project. Her responsibilities in the project represented a combination of administrative and managerial tasks, as well as thematic, content, visibility and strategic involvement. Before joining CPS, Gina managed the Roma Graduate Preparation Program, of which she is also a graduate.
Gina holds a MA in Public Policy from the Central European University and BA in European Public Administration from the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest. Currently, she pursues a distance learning MA degree in program evaluation offered by Saarland University and Kaiserslautern University of Technology.
In her current role, Gina coordinates two initiatives developed as a follow-up to the Roma Civil Monitor. The first one involves CEU students and graduates in reflecting on topics related to civil society’s role, voice and participation in shaping Roma equality policies, with special attention to civil society monitoring mechanisms as part of a research paper competition. The second one aims at the production of a manuscript with the direct involvement of a group of RCM authors and experts. In addition to this part-time engagement with DI/CPS, she is also the coordinator of the CEU’s cross-disciplinary initiative Visual Studies Platform.
