Ethnic Differences in Education across Europe

Central European University hosted the closing conference of the EDUMIGROM research initiative on February 11-12, 2011. The project aimed to investigate how ethnic differences in education contribute to the diverging prospects for minority ethnic youth and their peers in urban settings. The research was coordinated by the Center for Policy Studies at CEU and conducted in ethnically diverse communities with second-generation migrants and Roma in nine countries of the European Union (Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, and the United Kingdom).

New publication: Globalizing Employment Relations

The research project 'How transferable is the French social model? (DARES)' concluded with a new book published by Palgrave Macmillan in December 2010.

Bringing Gender in Politics to CEU

On January 13-15, CEU hosted the 2nd European Conference on Politics and Gender. The conference is the biannual event of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) Standing Group on Politics and Gender.

Ethnic and Social Differences in Education in a Comparative Perspective - EDUMIGROM publishes its comparative survey study by Julia Szalai, Vera Messing and Maria Nemenyi.
