Roma civil society: Portugal must address Roma segregation in all areas of life

The second Roma Civil Monitor (RCM) report for Portugal has found that over the last five years, some policy measures have been defined that have allowed some achievements in Roma integration, especially in the areas of Roma civil society initiatives and employment. Roma are said to experience serious discrimination leading to difficulties in attaining education and in their professional and social insertion.

Empowerment through Liquid Integration of Migrant Youth in Vulnerable Conditions

The "Empowerment through Liquid Integration of Migrant Youth in Vulnerable Conditions" (MIMY) research project was launched with the participation of the Center for Policy Studies. It is a 3-year project with the lead of the University of Luxembourg and will be a collaboration between 12 partners across 9 countries. The project aims to empower young migrants in vulnerable conditions and to support integration strategies within the EU.

Roma Civil Monitor project: Slovenia’s Roma are extremely excluded

The second Roma Civil Monitor (RCM) report on Slovenia has found that Roma unemployment is extremely high, between 90 and 98 percent. Roma are also severely excluded from accessing housing, a fact that generates their further marginalization in other areas. While Roma have the same right to access healthcare as others in Slovenia, they do not always use those rights, and their overall social exclusion hinders their access to care.
